Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008
The Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA), as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA), includes many disclosure and reporting requirements that a postsecondary education institution is required to distribute or make available to prospective students and parents. The distribution of information about Ambria College of Nursing’s operations is intended to increase the institution’s transparency to others. Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
gives enrolled students certain rights with respect to their educational records. This includes the right to:
- Inspect and review the student’s education records
- Request an amendment of the student’s education records
- Provide written consent before the college discloses personally identifiable information from the student’s educational records, except to the extent that FERPA authorizes disclosure without consent
- File a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning alleged failures by the college to comply with the requirements of FERPA.
VOTER REGISTRATION
As an institution participating in the administration of Title IV Federal Student Aid program, Ambria College of Nursing would like to remind US citizen students who are 18 years and older, the importance of exercising the right to vote.

CONSTITUTION DAY
Constitution Day is observed every year on September 17th to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787.
Each year on September 17th, Ambria College of Nursing celebrates Constitution Day with different educational activities and programs. Ambria serves coffee and cookies to students, staff and faculty.
If Constitution Day falls on a weekend, the holiday will be observed on either the previous Friday or the following Monday.
