History

Ambria College of Nursing is a small, private, accredited nursing school founded in 2006. In 2009, we received approval from the U.S. Department of Education to offer Financial Aid or Title IV. In the same year, we were approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education as a college.

On March 15, 2011, we received approval for a full associate's degree in nursing from the Illinois Board of Nursing, and we changed our name to Ambria College of Nursing to reflect our R.N. program.

In June 2014, we received accreditation approval to offer a Distance Learning Program (online courses).

Ambria offers online completion programs for LPN, LPN-to-RN, RN. Day and evening classes are offered, as well as full-time and part-time options, for all programs.

Ambria College of Nursing is accredited by ACEN and ABHES.
