Four Easy Steps for Federal Student Aid
  1. Create your FSA ID.

Create an FSA ID with a username and password.

The FSA ID is used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information and electronically signing your federal student aid documents, such as the FAFSA.

If you are a dependent student, your parent must also have created an FSA ID.  You will continue to use the same FSA ID as your gateway to file subsequent FAFSA and to access certain US Department of Education websites.

If you already have an FSA PIN, you will be prompted to create an FSA ID.  This FSA ID (username and password) will now replace the PIN.

Click the link below to create your FSA ID - https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm

  2. Apply for student financial aid online.

Your second step is to complete your student financial aid form online. Ambria College of Nursing school code is 041247 .

Go to this site to start the application process - https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa You will also be asked to provide a list of documents to complete the application process.  Please click this link for eligibility requirements -  https://studentaid.gov/understand-aid/eligibility/requirements

  3. Wait for your SAR (student aid report).

After completing your FAFSA, you will receive your Student Aid Report (SAR) via email within 3 - 5 days.  Your SAR contains your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) value.

  4. SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH FINANCIAL AID ADVISOR

Your final step is to meet with a financial aid advisor to complete and accept your awards to tell us which loans you want to use. You can finalize your loans by completing online entrance counseling, signing master promissory, and exit counseling

Bring proof (print-out) that you have completed the entrance counseling before meeting with financial aid advisor.
